In short
Your library lives on your Mac. We do not see it.
If you create an account, we keep your email, your name and picture from Google, and a short list of your libraries (name, id, the name of your Mac). Nothing of what is inside them.
If you turn on The Organizer Cloud, your library is encrypted on your Mac before it leaves. We store bytes we cannot read. Only your passphrase opens them, and we do not have it.
We do not sell data, show ads, or use analytics or tracking.
Who is responsible
Samuel Garijo Cortés, Filler utca 41, 1024 Budapest, Hungary, is the controller of the personal data described here. Contact: info@samuelgarijo.com.

What The Organizer is
The Organizer is a Mac app that keeps a personal library of things you save (notes, pictures, links, files). The app works without an account. An account and The Organizer Cloud are optional.

Data we process, and why
1. Without an account
Nothing reaches us. Your library is a folder on your Mac. Any keys you enter (for example for mymind, Are.na, an AI provider or your own storage bucket) are kept in your Mac's keychain and are used only by the app on your Mac, to talk directly to those services. We never receive them.

2. Your account (optional)
When you sign in with Google, or with an emailed code:

Data
Why
Legal basis
Email address
To identify your account and let you sign in
Contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR)
Name and profile picture from Google
To show who is using the app on the start screen
Contract
Your plan (free or hosted)
To know which features apply to you
Contract
A list of your libraries: id, name, the name of the Mac it was last seen on, and when
So you can find your libraries on another Mac
Contract
The encrypted copy of your key (see below)
So another Mac can open your copy with your passphrase
Contract
Sign-in records kept by our provider (time, IP address, browser)
Security and abuse prevention
Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f))
We do not receive your Google password. From Google we only ask for your basic profile and email address.

3. The Organizer Cloud (optional, hosted plan)
If you turn it on, a copy of your library is stored on servers we rent. Before anything leaves your Mac, every file is encrypted with AES-256-GCM using a key created on your Mac. That key is stored on your Mac, and on our side only in a form wrapped by your passphrase (scrypt). We never receive the passphrase or the key in a usable form, so we cannot read your library, and nobody can recover it if you lose the passphrase.

What we can see: the number and size of the files, when they were sent, and their names, which are technical identifiers and file extensions (for example objects/<id>.json), not titles or contents.

Legal basis: contract.

4. Your own storage bucket (optional)
If you connect a bucket of your own, the app sends your library to it directly from your Mac. We are not involved and receive nothing. The provider of that bucket is responsible for it under its own terms.

How long we keep it
Account data: while your account exists. When you delete your account, it is removed within 30 days, except what the law requires us to keep.
The Organizer Cloud copy: while you keep the hosted plan. If you stop it or delete your account, the copy is deleted within 30 days.
Sign-in records kept by Supabase: for a limited period, under Supabase's own retention policy.
Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct, delete or export your data, to restrict or object to its processing, by writing to info@samuelgarijo.com. We answer within one month. You can also complain to the Hungarian data protection authority (Nemzeti Adatvédelmi és Információszabadság Hatóság, naih.hu) or to the authority of the EU country where you live.

Until a "Delete my account" button exists in the app, write to info@samuelgarijo.com and we will delete your account and any hosted copy.

Security
Account sessions are kept in your Mac's keychain. Connections use HTTPS. The Organizer Cloud copy is end-to-end encrypted as described above. Access to our systems is limited to the owner.

Children
The Organizer is not meant for people under 16 (the age of digital consent in Hungary). We do not knowingly create accounts for them.

Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will say so in the app before the change applies. The date at the top is the last change.
